"I've found a business to acquire and can't wait to hire a lawyer - lawyers are so affordable and easy to work with"

said no business acquisition investor. Ever. The first part yes, but DEFINITELY not the second.

Lawyers are a pain in the a@! - they're expensive, usually hard to work with, and most of them are so risk averse that they can easily blow up deals.

Am I right?

Hiring the right lawyer for your business acquisition deal is extremely important but tricky at best.

Problem is, as a legal client, the deck is stacked against you. Lawyers (especially big-firm lawyers) know that they have the information you need. They also know that often clients don't know what they don't know. The result is that they've created a system where legal services are insanely expensive. The worst part is that unless you're sophisticated enough to know exactly what you need (especially in a transaction as complicated as a business acquisition) you may well end up WITHOUT everything you need even after paying that huge lawyer's bill.

What you need is an insider's guide to working with lawyers.

Lawyers can be affordable, will be easy to work with, and will be invaluable in helping you close your deal smoothly while protecting your interests along the way. That is, if you find the right lawyer and know exactly how to work with him or her.

My new mini-course is your insider's guide.

I'm an M&A lawyer myself with over 23 years in practice (over 10 in business transactions). In my mini-course, I will be spilling the beans on everything I've learned about working with lawyers, especially on business acquisition deals. My goal is to level the playing field. You deserve the tools and knowledge to become a sophisticated client who has the know-how to choose the right lawyer, negotiate a fair price, and get exactly the help you need.

Here's what you will get with my insider's mini-course:

-->The description of the exact type of lawyer you need for your deal and why picking the wrong type of lawyer will be both  and

-->The scoop on WHERE to look to find your lawyer. (hint, often asking other professionals for referrals may NOT be the best way)

-->The details on whether you need an LLC or corporation ready to operate your new business (including when this needs to be formed and how to get it done without paying an arm and a leg)

-->Insider tips on the proper way to vet a lawyer to make sure you've got the right one for your deal (including a list of the exact questions I'd ask if I needed to personally hire a lawyer for a deal)

-->The top five signs that the lawyer you're interviewing (yes, you should interview them) is the wrong one for you

-->The low-down on the dirty little law firm billing secret that will actually reward lawyers for being inefficient and can result in substandard work (and what you can do about it when you choose your lawyer).

-->The 411 on the type of lawyer you should avoid at almost all cost (these lawyers are  the most expensive and often can be the least valuable to you)

-->An insider's hack that uses deal savvy and a much more logical billing model (which most lawyers won't tell you about) to save up to 50% or more off your legal bill.

-->A roadmap of what your deal flow will almost always look like including the decisions you should be making (be careful if your lawyer tries to make these for you), documents you will need to review and sign, and typical timelines.

-->A list of the absolute minimum tools your lawyer should have in his/her tech stack and why you should run if they don't have it.

I'm launching this course to the public September 5, 2021. I will be accepting up to 20 pre-sell buyers at the special price of $149 and will start working on the course once I get 10 pre-sell buyers. Not only will presell buyers get the course at a lower cost than I plan to sell it for publicly, but in return
